Match.com Misfire: Date # 5, It’s Not Unusual, Part 13

08.13.2012 by J. Doe // Leave a Comment

Over the next months, Mr. Unusual occasionally posted things on his LinkedIn profile. Once, he wrote a blog post in which he mentioned his next blog post was going to bash a company that happened to be my former employer – a large bank.

He never wrote the post.

Another time, not long after several posts from me about my company’s emerging green technologies conference, he posted a question to no one in particular about new automotive green technologies.

I googled the answer to the question, but did not reply.

Until yesterday, when I noticed he connected to the two women who I had spoken with at the Seattle office of It’s Just Lunch.

You will not be surprised to learn that Sunday came and went without another word from Mr. Unusual.

I did send off an email to my friend, letting her know she was completely right in her prediction.

She replied: If it’s any consolation, that makes him a cliché, rather than an actual person.
