The day after he departed, my father says: It was nothing less than murder.
No, this post is not a discussion of “when life begins,” because that’s really besides the point. I wanted desperately to create a new life.
Just three days before the life was actually going to begin, he said what he should have said eight years before: No. And even then, he didn’t have the courtesy to use that word, and say what he meant.
I didn’t see murder – what I saw was theft. He stole something from me of great value; something that could not be replaced.
And yet, the lawyers are quite firm on one point: no crime was committed.
